The 10th Youth World Cup Painting Competition
The Second Prize
This is a global painting competition organized by UNICEF. Michelle has participated in the competition for several consecutive years and has donated 100% of her prize money to UNICEF’s Tent Schools project, which supports education for underprivileged children in Africa.
After participating for several consecutive years in a global painting competition organized by UNICEF and donating all of her prize money to support educational projects in Africa, Michelle chose to move beyond advocacy and take action. In March 2025, she traveled in person to Malawi, Africa, to join a volunteer teaching program.
Working closely with local students, teachers, and community members and formed deep and lasting connections, Michelle witnessed firsthand the realities of educational inequality and poverty, experiences that deeply moved her. As she prepared to return to Canada, one young girl said to her, “Go, Michelle—change the world!” That moment left a lasting impression, and they have remained in close contact ever since. This experience strengthened Michelle’s sense of global responsibility and affirmed her commitment to creating meaningful change through education, sport, and action.
Leadership and Activities

Michelle was honored to be selected as a student delegate at the Christmas holiday dinner hosted by then–Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau. During the event, she participated in a symbolic gift exchange with the Prime Minister and engaged in meaningful dialogue on the importance of education, multiculturalism, and global citizenship in building bridges between nations. This unique experience highlights her leadership potential and her active commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding on an international stage.

In between China & Canada Flight Resumption Briefing
This year, direct flights between China and Canada were resumed. I was honored to be invited to express my feelings on behalf of all students and to meet some great people in the industry.
With years of dedicated training, Michelle competed in both national- and provincial-level figure skating competitions in China and Canada. In recent years, she has served as a member of the directing team for the Toronto Ice Spring Festival Gala, where she assisted the chief director in selecting and choreographing programs for world champion figure skaters.
Although Michelle has since retired from competitive figure skating and transitioned to rowing, her passion for skating remains unwavering. Her long-term involvement in the sports reflects her discipline, artistic sensibility, leadership, and ability to thrive in culturally diverse environments.
On February 16, 2026, Michelle once again served on the directing team for the Toronto Ice Spring Festival Gala. In recognition of her contribution, she was honored to receive a congratulatory letter from Mark Carney Prime Minister of Canada.
